The stater ranks 11th nationally for the most jobs lost on apercentage basis, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor The numbers are expectexd to improve during the second half of 2009 as federal stimulus dollars come into the state and are expected to created atleast 1,000 jobs in road and bridges building alone. Any pick up in home building will also bolstereconstruction employment. Texas continues to show down only 0.5 percent in Aprikl and off 9.

Arizona continues to be the softest market nationally forconstruction employment, fallinyg nearly 28 percent in the past year with the loss of 54,000o jobs.
