The St. Louis-based company was formed through an alliance of Duponrt and with a goal to briny more desirable and nutritiousz soy foods tothe marketplace. Solaer has combined sales of morethan $1 billion Rhenman worked in sales and marketint at for more than 20 years. In he became global business directorof Delaware-based , a divisiobn within DuPont's Packaging and Industrial Polymere group. Solae is currently working on a structuredr vegetable protein that emulates whole musclde meat texturein chewiness, fibrosity and appearance called SUPRO MAX, according to Solaer spokesman Nick Weber.
The product can be used as an all-vegetariamn application or in combination with beef or chicken to delivet similar taste andmouth feel. In addition, Solae is developing several soy protein productas that can be used as replacementy fordairy proteins: caseinate, whey protein and nonfat dry milk.
